me talking (streaming page, mp3, for mac users)

Ok, this took awhile.

Friday: PRA Party. I was invited to a bowling party by Pam. Many of her co-workers were to be there. Sully, Cat and Heath were all invited, too. It was a really good time. We only had a bit more than an hour at the bowling place, as a private party took the place over at 10:30pm. Then the party moved to Freddy T's. I watched Pam karaoke a couple of times. Once at her side, singing along, keeping my voice away from the mic. Sully had stayed later than Cat and Heath. It was a fine time. I met a great many of Pam's co-workers and likely retained many names due to bowling. All the names politely up on the screen. With an arrow kindly demonstrating who should be throwing the ball. It really helps the memory. Back to my place for sleep.

Saturday: Spent most of the day with Pam, she had to head out to her friend's (Jessica Cox's) birthday party. But there was another party for me to attend: The Talkshow Party. Gwen and Mattie had been planning a birthday party for quite some time. It just happened to land on Sully's actual birthday. It was the day before my birthday. I'd invited Sully, Josh, Pam, Heath and Cat to come. All did so. Sully, Josh and I arrived before the rest of my folk. We got hungry and went to Pancho's. Heath and Cat arrived at the party while we were out. We headed back to the party. After a short while I kinda wanted to have more space and play pool. Just by July once again ventured off, this time to assess Clarette's busyness. We arrived and found the busyness to be too much to move a party of 13. We went back to the dorm in which the party resided. Pam was nearly there. The four united and we headed back to my place.

Tuesday: Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers. Hung out with Sully at the Westport Coffeehouse. Our tickets said 7:30pm, it was freezing out. We dropped our coats off at my car and ran a block to the Hurricane. It was 7pm and they didn't let us in. The fellow at the front said we could get in at 9pm. We ran through the cold a bit and wound up at McCoy's. Matt and Becky showed up soon after. Our party was complete. After some entertaining hang time, the show was to begin.

It was great. Jim and Davette were there. They tend to be. We were right in front of Nick, which also tends to happen. I was glad to see Matt enjoying himself. I thought he would. The most stand-out moment for me (as it was new and unusual) was during the song Girly. There is a pause towards the end of the song, when all the instruments settle down. Normally Roger would lean forward and sing "so we can get back up and we can do it all over again." But this time things went different. They cut the lights. Then lights of color appeared (they'd been white the whole concert). Then they were playing an unfamiliar riff. Then the riff went crazier. Then it became Teenage Wasteland (originally performed by the Who, I believe). It was great. Really great. I truly enjoy his cover songs. And much of the concert I'd looked at the set list by Nick's feet. I full well expected Girly to be the last song, so the extra song, especially played with that level of enthusiasm was very welcome. The song ended, they played their King of the Hill intro, then were done. Nick handed me the set list. I talked with Jim and Davette a little, got Steve Larson to autograph the setlist, and then set off. Becky made me a shirt from my love of the song Buffalo. Which is probably my favorite RCPM song and was played. So great.

Thursday: blissful. For those that don't know: Thursday tends to be my day to hang out with Pam, as I'm very busy until Wednesday, and she has family dinner on Wednesdays. I might be going to family dinner in the future, though.

Saturday: Time with Josh

Sunday: Finished a big paper, went to Pam's new place. Steph and Tom treated me to dinner. Pam and I quested for Fudge covered Oreos. We wound up having to settle for White Fudge covered Oreos. Almost close enough. We watched a few episodes of Coupling. She feel asleep on my shoulder then I went home. Chatted with Bryan for a bit, then attempted to watch a new episode of Perfect Hair Forever. When it started it made sense that they'd show the first episode again. I just wished it'd be new. Then sleep.

"Out here in the fields I fought for my meals. I get my back into my living, I don't need to fight, To prove I'm right, I don't need to be forgiven"
-The Who, "Teenage Wasteland"
